• Meteor has raised a seed round with support from the NEAR foundation, exNEAR core team members, strategic funds, and other leading projects in the NEAR ecosystem.
• Meteor has been selected as the maintenance team for MyNearWallet, the ecosystem wallet for the NEAR blockchain. This opportunity not only comes with additional funds but also helps solidify our team's reputation and trust within the ecosystem. Our plan is to introduce a more streamlined version of the Meteor Wallet through MyNearWallet, catering to users looking for basic wallet features. Subsequently, we will onboard users seeking more advanced DeFi features and mobile app convenience onto the full Meteor Wallet, offering a comprehensive and secure experience.

Our core team comprises five members with diverse technical and growth expertise, based in the UK, Malaysia, and South Africa. We started as an NFT collection on the NEAR blockchain known as NEAR Tinker Union in February 2022. Since then, we have developed Enleap, a leading no-code NFT launchpad for collections on NEAR. Our experience highlighted the need for an improved wallet experience on the NEAR blockchain, which led us to create Meteor Wallet in April 2022.

With years of experience in the software industry, our team has a track record of delivering production-grade software and maintaining open-source projects. We have previously won multiple awards in hackathons and security-related competitions. Our team consists of full-stack developers with experience in consumer-facing fintech development, equipped with end-to-end hands-on experience.
